Melisa Evans Garcia

Melisa Evans Garcia passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, at the age of 59.
Born January 16, 1966, to Marjorie Evans and Armando Salazar Garcia in San Jose
California. She spent most of her life in San Diego, California graduating from Hilltop
High School. Strong willed and independent she was revered as a free spirit who tested
any restraints or boundaries set upon her. A true “bellatrice” ahead of her time at any
period of her life.
Melisa enjoyed and appreciated all forms of art. True to her heritage she was
engaged in artwork from free hand drawing, painting, and beadwork. A natural talent for
performing arts. Her compassion afforded her a career in care taking as a registered
nurse.
Survived by her husband Philip J. (Griebel); sons Philip and Brandon (Griebel);
Mother Marjorie Garcia; her sisters Margie (Romero) and Elisa Garcia; Brother
Armando O. Garcia

Services will take place May 2, 2025 at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 2929
E Pinnacle Peak RD, Phoenix Arizona 85024. Services begin at 2PM.
Donations can be accepted in lieu of flowers at time of burial.
