Jason Boyd Wylie
11/22/1972 - 07/01/2024
Mesa, AZ
Jason finished his 13-month battle with Stage 4 colon cancer in the comfort of his brother’s home in Tempe, AZ. Born in Scotland, Jason immigrated to Scottsdale, AZ with his parents, Ann and David Wylie, and his older brother, Paul, in 1976. In his youth, he enjoyed skateboarding, going to concerts, and playing baseball. Jason was afflicted with addiction for more than three decades of his life, leading to his incarceration in 2019. While in prison, Jason completed the “Go Further” program and joined the mere 5% of people who find sobriety from crystal meth. In 2021, Jason found employment making custom logo promotional items for businesses. Over the last few years, he reconnected with his family, and became a beloved uncle to his nephew, Liam. They enjoyed going to the lake, playing basketball, and watching movies together. Jason’s favorite pastimes were listening to podcasts and live music and cheering on his favorite team, the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Jason is survived by grandmother Eva, brothers Sean and David, sister-in-laws Hillary, Stacie, and Tina, and nieces and nephews Ian, El, Kiera, and Liam. The family will hold a private memorial to honor Jason.
