EMPLOYMENT
INFORMATION
All
persons interested in a career with the Highland County Sheriff's
Office must have a current application on file. This is where
the search begins for our next Deputy Sheriff. When a need is
anticipated, those persons with applications on file are eligible to
be called for a first interview, which typically lasts 1-2
hours. At least one additional interview is conducted before
an offer of employment is made to any person. A medical
examination and pre-employment drug testing may also be
required. Salary, benefits, work schedules and other
information is provided at the time of interview. We have made
our application for employment available below. The
application consists of ten (10) pages, which must be printed,
filled out and submitted to the Sheriff's Office, either in person
or by mail. We will not accept applications submitted
electronically. Applications are kept on file for a period of
