CORRECTIONS
Sgt.
Keith Brown
Deputy
Keith Brown first joined the Sheriff's Office in 1994 as a Special
Deputy. Dep. Brown is a 1994 graduate of the Greenfield Peace
Officer Academy at Greenfield, Ohio and a 1997 graduate of
the Clermont County Corrections Academy. Dep. Brown has received other training
covering radar, DUI detection, first line supervision, EID stun gun,
the REACT court security system, is an ASP baton instructor and holds a permit
from the Ohio Department of Health as a senior operator on the
Datamaster.
Dep. Brown received recognition as "Jailer of the Year"
from his fellow employees for 1998 and was promoted to a Sergeant
in Corrections. Keith is married and enjoys
hunting, fishing, trapping, farming and boating.

Ben Reno
Deputy
Benjamin Reno hired on in April of 2001 as a Corrections Officer.
Dep. Reno is a 1999 graduate of the Greenfield Peace Officer Academy
at Southern State Community College in Hillsboro, Ohio. Sgt.
Reno is a 2001 graduate of the Highland County Corrections Academy
and has an Associates Degree in Technical Studies of Law
Enforcement from Southern State Community College. Ben has
received additional training covering basic and advanced
supervision, EID stun gun, Taser, A.E.D. and holds a Senior Operator
permit from the Ohio Department of Health for the Datamaster. Sgt.
Reno was promoted to a Sergeant
in Corrections in November 2001.
Sgt.
Kim Alexander
Sgt.
Alexander began as a Corrections Officer in 2001, graduating that fall
from the Highland County Corrections Academy. Kim has received
additional training in the EID stun gun, PPCT defensive tactics, OC
spray and the ASP baton. Kim was promoted to Sergeant in Corrections in
December of 2004.

Devin Ames
Sgt.
Ames came to the Sheriff's Office in August of 2005. Devin is
a 2006 graduate of the Corrections Basic Academy held in Green
County, Ohio, and has received additional training on the ASP baton,
chemical irritants, cell extraction and holds a Senior Operator
permit from the Ohio Department of Health for the Datamaster.
Devin was promoted to a Sergeant in Corrections in December, 2007.

Sandy Kelley
Deputy
Kelly began in communications with the Sheriff's Office in the year
2000. Sandy is a 2000 graduate of the Greenfield Peace
Officers' Academy and a 2001 graduate of the Highland County
Corrections Academy, both held at Southern State College in Hillsboro.
Dep. Kelley has received additional training on the EID stun gun,
Taser training and Spanish for Law enforcement.

Erica Engle
Dep.
Erica Engle started as a Corrections Officer in September,
2001. Erica is a 2001 graduate of the Highland County
Corrections Academy and has received additional training on the EID
stun gun, suicide prevention, AED, OC spray, ASP baton, X26 Taser
and cell extraction. Dep. Bentley is a 2007 graduate of the
Peace Officer Training Academy held at Southern State Community
College. Erica enjoys camping, hunting and being
with her family in her off duty time.

Martha Jones
Deputy
Marti Jones was hired in September 2001, graduating from the
Highland County Corrections Academy the same year. Dep. Jones
has received additional training in OC spray and the ASP baton. Marti is
married with three children and enjoys boating, fishing, hiking,
reading, museums, antiques, gardening and spending time with her
grandchildren.

Doug Terrell
Deputy
Terrell started with the Sheriff's Office in September 2001,
graduating from the Highland County Corrections Academy that
fall. Dep. Terrell has received additional training on the EID
stun gun, OC spray, Chemical Irritant Instructor training and is a
certified Senior Operator for the Datamaster. Doug enjoys hunting in his off time.

Linda Bussell
Deputy
Bussell started as a Corrections Officer in June of 2002. Dep.
Bussell is a 2003 graduate of the Fayette County Corrections Academy
and has received additional training on the EID stun gun, OC
spray, ASP batonand cell extraction. Linda has three children and six grandchildren.
Linda is a karate instructor and likes to collect Beatles
memorabilia.

Chris Hilderbrandt
Dep.
Chris Hilderbrandt began his law enforcement career in 2003 as an auxiliary
officer with the Peebles, Ohio, Police Department. Chris came
to the Sheriff's Office in July as a Corrections Officer. Dep.
Hilderbrandt is a 2004 graduate of the Peace Officer Basic Academy
at Southern State College and a 2005 graduate of the Greene County
Corrections Basic Academy.

Deputy
Sandy Frost started in the summer of 2004 as a Corrections Officer
with Highland County. Sandy is a 2005 graduate of the Green
County Corrections Basic Academy and has received training in the
use of OC spray, ASP baton and cell extraction.

Richard Rammel
Rick
Rammel started his second career in the fall of 2001 as a part time
employee. Rick
retired after 25 years of service with Hillsboro Fire & Rescue,
and was named E.M.T. of the year in 2001. Rick handles
the maintenance at the Justice Center which includes maintaining
everything from electric door locks, diesel generator, water
softener and hot water tanks to mowing grass and plowing
snow. Rick enjoys golf, auto racing and his family in
his free time.
